The most common problem when photographing objects with water is its physical properties, namely fluidity. If we simply pour water over something, then all the liquid will drain and leave behind ugly stains. How to get beautiful droplets?
01. You can, of course, remember your physics lessons - put the bottle in the refrigerator, wait a little, and then take it out and droplets will appear by themselves, like condensation. But, fortunately, there is no refrigerator in the studio, so this method is not for us. In a simpler way we get this picture:
02. For this we need the following things: water, a paraffin candle, a rag, glycerin, a spray bottle (the one that is used to irrigate flowers). Glycerin can be bought at any pharmacy, it costs five rubles for one bottle, and we need 4-5 of them.
We take a candle and rub our bottle, but without much fanaticism. Then use a rag to evenly distribute the paraffin and remove the excess so that it is not visible in the picture. Next, pour some water into a spray bottle, add glycerin there and mix. Glycerin makes the water more viscous, but you don’t need to be too zealous here, otherwise it simply won’t come out of the spray bottle.
03. Now the simplest thing remains - we spray it on the bottle with a spray bottle. Because of the paraffin film, the water curls into round droplets and looks like condensation.
Now let's move on to shooting with splashes. Everything is even simpler here. Pour water into some container and pour it onto the bottles. It should be taken into account that the minimum shutter speed on the camera due to pulsed light is about 1/200. If you pour water very sharply, it will be blurred in the photo, so you need to try to make smooth movements, then the droplets from the splashes will be clear.
04. Now we collect the received images into one. We select the splashes that we like, cut them out and paste them into the main photo.
